Our new Honorary member Tom Purves who is married with two children has vast experience about the motor industry. He joined Rolls-Royce car division in 1967 and left in 1985 to become Sales Director of BMW which led him, in 1985 to become the Managing Director of BMW a role he held until 1996 when he became a Board member of Rover. In 1999 until 2008 Tom was Chairman and CEO of BMW (U.S.) Holdings Corporation and President of BMW North America, until he left in 2008 to return to his old company Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as CEO, a position he held until he retired in 2010.
